Justin Bieber isn't the innocent teenage singer who hit the scene a few years back. While he still has a huge fan base with young girls, Bieber has grown up and started acting more his age. Despite being one of the better celebrity influences for kids for many years, he is starting to do things that will make parents cringe.
On Friday night, TMZ posted a photo of the Boyfriend singer partying it up with some friends. The article focused on the object that appeared to be a blunt in Bieber's hand, but there were also open bottles of alcohol on the coffee table in front of Bieber. While he wan't photographed drinking directly from the open containers, the fact that they were there is bad enough. Drinking under age is bad, but the fact that the singer appears to be smoking marijuana is what has most people upset.
After news broke, Bieber took to Twitter and said, "everyday growing and learning. trying to be better. u get knocked down, u get up. i see all of u. i hear all of u. i never want to let any of you down. i love u. and..thank u.#beliebers."
While he may not have spoke out about the pictures directly, it seems ironic that he said this shortly after TMZ reported the story. After the story broke, people started tweeting to the star who may have noticed his "mentions" box a little more full. Perhaps this was his way of speaking out and letting his fans know that he is sorry for letting them down?
He then said, "like i said...2013...new challenges. new doubters...Im ready. We are ready. see u all tomorrow and everyday after that.#BELIEVEtour"
There is no doubt that 2013 will be a challenging year for the singer. He and Selena Gomez are continued to be hounded with breakup and make-up rumors and those don't seem to be stopping anytime soon. Not only that, but 2013 didn't exactly start out well for the singer. On January 1, a paparazzo was killed after trying to snap photos of the singers white Ferrari (Bieber wasn't in the car, but the friend who he partied with on the 2nd was behind the wheel).
Unfortunately, there will always be people watching and waiting for celebrities to mess up. Despite the things that have been going on, Justin Bieber seems determined to prove the non-beliebers wrong.
