Who is Candice Swanepoel? The Victoria's Secret model made international headlines after sharing a sexy bikini pic on Instagram. TMZ spotted the fabulous fanny exposing pic and ran a thank-you story about her sharing it.
On Jan. 11, the celeb gossip source shared, "[The Victoria's Secret Model graciously] posted the photo on her [Instagram] account today, modeling a brand new bikini she got sent in the mail by a company called Frankies Bikinis."
According to the source, Candice wrote, "Thank you @frankiesbikinis for the Gift!" But their male staff member seemed even more appreciative than her. They added the silly message, "Yes, thank you Frankies. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
As for the cut of the bath suit itself, the sexy swimwear post was darling. Hopefully, swimwear manufacturers will take note and the racy image will help set a new fashion trend that will be embraced in coming Summer seasons.
The problem with the bikini photo having been shared by the celebrity on Instagram has nothing to do with the look of the outfit or the hot celeb's appearance.
The Instagram company has recently revealed a platform change that allows them to sell images user share to advertisers. The sexy photo has already gone viral thanks to entertainment news websites like E! Online and helped promote the bathing suit manufacturer, but Swanepoel's image could easily be resold by Instagram now to generate their own money--something that from a business ethics perspective seems morally crappy.
Star celebs like Kim Kardashian have already blackballed the cool photo website owners for the policy change. Do you think it was a smart career move for the model to share her image this way--via such a controversial social network--or would she have been better off posting the hot photo on her own blog to help promote the image to everybody?
