The Fifty Shades of Grey movie casting war has become a drama in itself. And it's not just the titular role that's causing a firestorm of controversy. Competition for the Anastasia Steele role is growing increasingly fierce as well. In a recent interview, Felicity Jones dished on rumors that she's a contender for the role of Ana. According to the Cheerful Weather for the Wedding star, the rumors of her 50 Shades contender status are being greatly exaggerated. So much so, that she's growing sick of being asked about her Ana Steele contender status. On the other hand, she refuses to rule out the possibility of playing Ana if given the chance.
When asked in a recent interview if she'd accept the coveted role, Jones' response was rather testy.
"I've no idea," she said, "because there's no director and there's no script. It's a complete unknown."
So there you have it. Felicity Jones—serious actress and woman of few words. Both of which might be desirable qualities in someone gunning for the role of Christian Grey's submissive Miss.
As you can see by clicking here, La Jones certainly has that young and innocent virginal look. But will she make a good heroine for Fifty Shades of Grey despite her apparent lack of enthusiasm?
