One Direction Guys Sport Clown Noses for Charity

The One Direction guys--Harry Styles Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik--sported red clown noses recently for charity--and although they looked a bit foolish, it was for a worthy cause.

According to a report from Celebuzz, the What Makes You Beautiful and Kiss You singers attended the U.K.'s Red Nose Day--the day a whole group of British celebrities don the silly red noses for Comic Relief's charitable campaign.

The 1D boys are no stranger to charity work. Earlier in January they traveled to Ghana where they visited very poor school children in an impoverished town.

"We've seen appeal film before, so we thought we knew what it's like. But when you're there and you get the smells, your eyes hurt from the smoke, you cough, you're feeling it all," Harry Styles said during an interview with The Sun.

It's wonderful when successful celebrities like Harry, Niall, Zayn, Liam and Louis give back. They've obviously made big bucks performing and selling records. It's generous of them to give a portion of their earnings to those less fortunate. Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez are all known for their hard work for charitable causes. Giving of oneself--not just of money but of time, too--makes people respect these wealthy stars even more.

The One Direction boys will debut a cover single of Blondie's hit song One Way or Another. It will debut at the Brit Awards on February 12th. Proceeds from downloads of the single will be donated to this charitable cause as well.
