Penny Lancaster has been in talks with producers of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to come aboard for the fourth season of the show for weeks now. However, as much as they may want her to join the cast, she may not be sold on the idea.
"Now that Adrienne Maloof and Camille Grammer have quit the pressure is on to get them replaced quickly — and that is why they are going after Penny — in full force," a source tells Radar Online. "She would make a great addition to the cast because she's gorgeous, glamorous and has this amazing over-the-top lifestyle." Penny is also the step-mother of Adrienne's current boyfriend Sean Stewart which would have definitely been a bit awkward but now that Adrienne's gone, it seems to make more sense. Unfortunately, Penny doesn't really have anything to gain from joining the show and she seems to be having some serious doubts.
"Penny is flattered to be asked, but she sees what the show has done to past Housewives' marriages, friendships, and family ties—so, even though Rod would be fully supportive of her if she did join, she has no intention of heading down that same route," the source explains. Even though she isn't sold, Penny could have a change of heart—and hopefully she will. She seems to be a great addition to the group and would fit right in.
