Good news for Adam Lambert's fans because he has just been announced as the headline performer for the Fifth Annual Miami Beach Gay Pride Parade and Festival. Adam is scheduled to perform on Sunday, April 14, 2013 at 8 p.m. at the Main Stage in Lummus Park just off Ocean Drive between 11th and 12th Streets.
The schedule of Pride Week events includes a rainbow flag raising ceremony on Monday, April 8 at Miami Beach City Hall to kick off the event, followed by a reception honoring Miami Beach Pride's foun
ders and Pride's Legacy Couples. Pride Week culminates on Sunday, April 14, with the festival starting at 11 a.m. and the parade kicking off at noon, with Adam's performance later that night.
As a strong supporter of gay rights, Adam is a great choice to headline this event. Unfortunately he was unable to attend Gay Pride in his hometown, but he did tweet earlier this year: "Happy Gay Pride LA! I'm there in spirit!!" However he did perform at a similar event in the past - the 2010 Australian Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras in Sydney Australia.
Because Adam's "We Are Glamily Tour" does not include any U.S. stops, Glamberts from around the country are already making plans to see him perform at this festival. The good news is that they will only incur travel expenses, because thanks to corporate sponsors and donations, the Miami Beach Gay Pride is free.
Will you be going to Miami to see Adam perform?
