For the past few months, there have been rumors that Adam Lind from Teen Mom 2 is going to be a father again. Because of that, fans have been closely watching Taylor Halbur and all but forgetting she is a human being and not a reality show star. She hasn't been able to say a lot via Twitter for fear that the comments would be misconstrued, but now she is ready to speak out and tell her side of the story. So, forget what you have read and get ready to know the real Taylor!
Taylor: "I decided not to confirm the pregnancy for a few reasons. First of all, I didn't want to put my family in the middle of all the chaos it would make. Also, Adam and I decided that we didn't want to make it public for the sake of our child. We knew there would be a lot of backlash from the viewers of the show."
Gather: Are you and Adam together?
Taylor: "As far as Adam and I, we are trying to better our relationship and work on our own faults within the relationship. He is trying very hard to be the best he can be and is doing all he can to make sure we do not falter. He has told me plenty of times that he wants to do things right this time."
Gather: Does it bother you that people judge Adam based on what they see on MTV? What is something people would never know about Adam just from watching the show?
Taylor: "It does bother me quite a lot with all the judgment that goes around. I understand why people feel the way they do about him because they only see one side of the story. Yes, he has his faults and has made mistakes, but so has everyone else in the world. No one is perfect.
As far as that text message goes that everyone is so hopped up on, he knows he was in the wrong and forever regrets sending it. There is more story behind that message than what people know about. He loves that little girl more than he loves himself and she loves him just as equally. I've seen it. Adam is a human being and has feelings and a heart just like you and I do. He doesn't like this persona he has created for himself; he was young and made some poor decisions, but yet again, who hasn't?"
Gather: What made you want to tell you side?
Taylor: "I wanted to get my side out because of all the negativity being spoken about the situation and I feel the public needs to hear my side. Every child is a blessing no matter who it was conceived by. People keep ranting on about how "stupid" I am or how they hope Adam treats me like dirt, even going as far to degrade me as a person based on my looks. It's really sad to me that people can be so cruel to someone they absolutely know nothing about.
Gather: According to rumors, you are due in August;. How is the pregnancy going? Are you hoping for a boy or a girl and do you and Adam have any names picked out?
Taylor: "I'm due in August and the pregnancy is going very well. Adam and I are both very excited about it and couldn't be happier. We both are hoping for a boy, but either way we won't be disappointed. We have a few names picked out, but won't be releasing them at this time.
Gather: How was the 'TM 2' experience? Were you worried you would be portrayed negatively?
Taylor: "The Teen Mom" experience was definitely interesting. I wasn't worried about being shown in a negative light at all. In my opinion, when we filmed it went really well except when Aubree started throwing a tantrum lol We had been filming out in the heat for about four hours and she hadn't had a nap, so she was just exhausted. Overall, let's just say filming was an experience I won't forget.
Gather: Do you and Chelsea have any kind of relationship? There were photos of you two together a few months back, but it doesn't appear that you two talk at all these days.
Taylor: "Chelsea and I have no relationship at all now. Before, instead of causing more drama between Chelsea and I, we decided to try and push our differences aside and make amends. Adam and I started talking again and I decided to give him another chance. That's all there is to it.
Gather: What about your relationship with Aubree?
Taylor: "My relationship with Aubree is great. Chelsea does a very good job raising her. She's very bright and very smart; just all around an adorable little girl.
Gather: What about the comments that you and Adam were "playing house"?
Taylor: "I do want to clear up the "playing house" rumor. That was NEVER my intention. I treated Aubree as I would treat my own. First off, would people like me any better if I despised her or wanted nothing to do with her? Secondly, how am I any different than any of the other Teen Moms who have a new boyfriend/girlfriend/other half? Just some food for thought."
Gather: Is there anything else that you want people to know?
Taylor Halbur: "I guess I wanted people to realize how much things can change and how people can change. Whether people want to still ridicule myself, Adam, or the situation in general is completely up to them, but it's good to finally get my side out so maybe people can find it in their hearts to forgive and to not look so harshly and be so judgmental about it all. But everyone has their opinions and whether we agree or not we need to respect them.
